Bento Box Jellyfish are small jellyfish that inhabit the salty waters of the Artery Cove. They are highly sought after weary Hunters for their variety and array of ingredients in their tops. They are also highly venomous and a sting from one can lead to serious injury if one is not careful.
Description[]
Bento Box Jellyfish do not resemble regular Box Jellyfishes at all. They have a dome shaped top with a rim around it to look like it's oozing out a gelatinous mass. This is to make it look unappealling to predators. They have a cluster of small thin tentacles proturding out to their tops which they can use to sting potential predators. They are usually seen basking in the sun, their tops just slightly above the water. They catch prey swimming underneath them with their tentacles and swallow them whole. Their stingers are venomous and without proper treatment, unexperienced hunters can experience paralysis and other side effects.
As Food[]
These jellyfish come in a variety of combinations of ingredients including:
- Shodako - Traditional ingredients
- Chuka - Chinese food
- Kamameshi - Ingredients cooked together in a clay pot
- Makunouchi - Rice, pickled ume fruit, broiled salmon slice and a rolled egg
- Noriben - Nori dipped in soy sauce covering rice
- Sake - Rice and a broiled salmon slice
- Shidashi - Tempura, rice, pickled vegetables and certain European-style foods
- Tori - Sliced chicken in sauce over rice
- Hinomaru - Plain rice with umeboshi in the center
Most jellyfish are seperated into sections when they are opened.
Trivia[]
- The appearance of these beasts is based off of the Jellyfish from the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG.
- The inspiration to make this came from the Box Jellyfish, one of the deadliest sea animals in the world.
