Dead Ash Ant (デッド灰蟻 Deddo Hai Ari) is a species of ant living in the Ashen Blaze Island's Grave Orchard, the graveyard-like ash desert surrounding the Twisthill Volcano.

Dead Ash Ants resemble bullet ants, left for their large striped abdomens.
Powers and Abilities[]
Dead Ash Ants are one of rare forms of life in the graveyard of Ashen Blaze Island. They are capable of travelling through the desert's ashes at extremely high speeds, avoiding dangerous beasts that come to the place.
Their danger lies in their ability to live entirely from the toxic ashes of the Grave Orchard. Their metabolism synthesizes sugars and necessary compounds from the complex toxins found in the ashes. This also gives them powerful venom, which their use against predators. One ant is enough to cause severe anaphylactic shock and necrosis in adult human.
As Food[]
Interestingly enough, if they are killed in a gentle manner, that would not damage the venom glands in their head, their abdomens can be eaten to insert the toxin-dissolving compounds into one's body, that could create immunity towards the toxic ashes to a certain degree.
They are also noted to taste quite good, if their glands are seperated skillfully, that is.
