Dead Ash Anteater (デッド灰アリクイ Deddo Hai Arikui) is a species of anteater living in the Ashen Blaze Island's Grave Orchard in the Twisthill Volcano Area.

Anatomy[]

Dead Ash Anteater resembles a large anteater with ash-covered fur and head shape resembling a bull terrier.

Powers and Abilities[]

Besides its powerful toxin immunity high enough to survive and thrive in the conditions of Grave Orchard, and even safely digest Dead Ash Ants by great numbers, it has also extremely thick fur, skin and bones, capable of surviving extreme pressures. It also possesses great resistance to heat and can survive in oxygen-deprived environment for days, if not weeks.

As Food[]

Dead Ash Anteater is a Special Preparation Ingredient.
When normally killed, its meat is tough and even sharp knives have hard time cutting through it. It has almost no taste and it would take months to roast it Medium.

This is caused by the animal's flesh having natural resistance against lack of oxygen. However, if one were to kill it by exposing it to too much oxygen, forcing only 100% oxygen into its lungs for five breaths, its brain would release immense amounts of acids into its entire body, which would cause its flesh to bloat to twice its original size and become juicy and fatty.
Meat of the animal prepared this way will only take one minute to be roasted and even if eaten raw, it will have irresistible taste. One kilogram of such meat contains over 5,500 calories and has very benificial effects on liver functions and heart muscles.
