Gourmet Informants (グルメ情報提供, Gurume Jōhōteikyō) are a group of people who specialize in the procurement and selling of information on various rare foods and other things related to the Gourmet Age. They are generally employed if someone wishes to avoid IGO restrictions and censorship on certain information. Due to the methods some take to gain this information, however, several are branded as criminals by the IGO. However, there is a slightly higher risk of getting inacurate or outdated information which wouldn't necessarily be the case with the IGO.

Despite this, there are at least seven True Informants (真の情報提供, Shin no Jōhōteikyō) who are known for being consistently reliable and accurate in their information. As a result, however, these seven usually charge more from their services than other informants of 'lesser caliber'.
