Swamp Zebra (スワンップ ゼブラ Suwanppu Zebura) is a large equine beast that is found in Human World's Wul Swamp. The only things in their habitat that can generally hunt a Swamp Zebra are Tyrex's and Kingrano's.
Appearance[]
Swamp Zebras are large menacing looking equine beast that have black and white stripes. They also have a single horn on their heads, making them look like unicorns.
Behaviour[]
Swamp Zebras live in herds and are very territorial animals that tend to attack those that enter their territory. They will only do this with things that they think are weaker than them. If something comes that is strong enough to threaten the herd, they will abandon the place until it is safe for them to return. If they can't escape though, they will viciously fight off the attacker. They are some of the strongest beasts living in the Wul Swamp, so it doesn't often occur that something comes that can threaten the whole group. Their territory is as large as they can sense others with their horns.
Powers & Abilities[]
Swamp Zebras are very powerful beasts that can fight off most predators on their own, but are even more dangerous when they are in a herd as they will all fight together. Their greatest weapon is the horn on their foreheads. It is incredibly strong and durable and is said to rival the strength of a Leodragon's fang. The greatest strength of their horns though is how sensitive they are to vibrations in the air. With these horns, they are capable of feeling the air movements in a large area around them and can tend to be able to feel the strength of those creating the movements. They will tend to not notice something that has mastered Food Honour that enters it's territory though.
As Food[]
The meat of the Swamp Zebra is considered very difficult to work with, as it seems to absorb the flavour of anything that you marinate it with. As the meat itself has almost no flavour to it itself, this will usually result in a very bland flavoured dish. It was recently discovered by chef Kagura that Dandy Lions, with their overbearing flavour, can actually be used as a marinade to perfectly season Swamp Zebra meat. In fact, it has even been noted that both Tyrex's and Kingranos, the only natural predators of Swamp Zebras, will only eat them in fields of Dandy Lions; thus being able to eat the zebra meat together with weeds.
